As soon as I stepped into a small gift shop at the Midway Airport last weekend, my eyes spotted stunning, beaded bracelets in every color I could image sitting on a bracelet display holder on the checkout counter. Numerous shades of pinks, blues, oranges, all with a percentage of profits going towards notable charities.

Chavez for Charity was started in 2013 to provide fashionable accessories that people love to wear and at the same time allow the founders to contribute to charities. Each color has a different story behind it and supports a unique cause. For example, the Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation collection features bright yellow bracelets reminding us of a sip of cool lemonade on a hot summer day. Alex Lemonade Stand Foundation tries to raise money for pediatric cancer research to eliminate childhood cancer.
